There's lots of food ranging from traditional Italian (including homemade spaghetti and cheese ravioli as well as salads, sandwiches and seafood) to midway food such as hot dogs, french fries and cotton candy. You can also get some yummy Italian desserts and coffee.
There will be music set up throughout the festival as well. It will include more traditional music, as well as local bands who play covers and original music. Each night at 7 pm, there will be an evening concert held inside the church; tours of the church are also available. You can also enjoy carnival rides and games or watch a few rounds of bocce, which is a type of lawn bowling.
The festival begins on Sunday, June 6th at 2 pm with a traditional procession of costumed parishioners through the festival grounds and it will remain open until 10:30. The event runs the entire week Monday through Friday from 5:30 to 10:30 and the following Saturday and Sunday from 2 pm to 10:30.
There is an admission fee of $5 for ages 14 - 61. There is free parking available at Salesianum School, where you can then hop on a shuttle bus to the festival grounds. Salesianum is located at 1801 N. Broom Street and is easy to get to from I-95.
